The School of Management offers two bachelor’s degrees — Health Information and Services Management, and Social and Business Sustainability — plus the postgraduate Master of Smart Health Services Management (MSHSM).

Bachelor of Health Information and Services Management (Honours)

Bachelor of Management (Honours) in Social and Business Sustainability

  • 4 years full-time (first-year entry); senior-year entry also published
  • Non-local tuition (AY2026/27): HK$75,280 per year (Years 1–2), HK$97,060 per year (Years 3–4); full-programme total HK$344,680 (senior-year entry total HK$194,120)
  • TWC was the first self-financing institution to offer this programme (2019)[1]

Entry requirements depend on your qualification route — see entry requirements. English evidence is required; IELTS Academic 5.5 and TOEFL iBT 70 (prior to 21 January 2026) / 4 (from 21 January 2026 onwards) are among the published degree-level routes. Meeting published requirements does not guarantee admission — TWC makes the final decision.

Master of Smart Health Services Management (MSHSM) — postgraduate option

Read this before considering MSHSM The medium of instruction for the AY2026/27 intake is Chinese (CMI) only — courses are conducted in Putonghua and assessed in Chinese. Applications for the AY2026/27 intake have closed. Details for the AY2027/28 intake, including whether an English-medium (EMI) intake will be offered, have not yet been published (TBC). Do not assume English-medium availability for MSHSM.

The MSHSM is an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme bridging healthcare management with digital innovation, focusing on AI, Big Data and Health Information Management. TWC publishes a non-local tuition column for this programme. Programme Leader: Dr. Fowie NG. Classes are normally held at the Tsim Sha Tsui Campus on weekdays and weekends.

Structure and duration

  • Full-time: 1 year · Part-time: 2 years
  • 27 credits: 6 core courses + 1 elective + Capstone Project (6 credits)
  • Opt-out route: Postgraduate Diploma in Smart Health Services Management (PgD (SHSM))
  • QF Level 6

Admission requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent qualification at QF Level 5) in Healthcare, Information Technology, Management, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview

Language requirements by mode of instruction

EMI mode (all courses conducted and assessed in English) — for applicants whose prior degree was not taught/assessed in English: IELTS Academic overall 6.0 or above (at least 5.5 in each sub-category); or TOEFL iBT 74 or above; or CET Band 6 overall 500 or above with grade B in CET-SET.

CMI mode (conducted in Putonghua, assessed in Chinese): native Mandarin speaker; or a degree taught and assessed in Mandarin; or Putonghua Proficiency Test Grade 3 Level B+.

Students cannot switch or mix modes; the mode is chosen at application. The AY2026/27 intake is CMI only.[2]

Common questions

Is the MSHSM taught in English?

The programme offers two modes — EMI (English) and CMI (Putonghua) — but the AY2026/27 intake is CMI only, and AY2026/27 applications have closed. Whether an English-medium intake will run in AY2027/28 has not been published yet. Who is the MSHSM for?

Holders of a bachelor’s degree (or QF Level 5 equivalent) in Healthcare, Information Technology, Management or a related discipline who want to bridge healthcare management with digital innovation (AI, Big Data, Health Information Management). Shortlisted applicants are invited to an interview.

Can international students apply to the bachelor’s programmes?
