How TWC treats Myanmar qualifications
Tung Wah College HK welcomes applicants with qualifications from many education systems. If your country’s qualification is not listed on TWC’s official entry-requirements page, you can still apply with verifiable academic results — for example, your Basic Education High School (BEHS) results and Matriculation Examination results, or an international qualification such as the IB Diploma or GCE A-levels. TWC assesses your results against the entry standards of its programmes, all of which are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework.[1]

The academic year works differently in Myanmar and Hong Kong. Myanmar’s academic calendar has shifted in recent years and BEHS / Matriculation exam timing can vary, so check your own exam schedule carefully. In Hong Kong, Semester 1 starts in September. Can I apply to TWC with the BEHS / Matriculation Examination?
Yes — you can apply with verifiable academic results. Myanmar does not yet have its own row on TWC’s official entry-requirements page, so TWC assesses your results — for example your BEHS results and Matriculation Examination results, or an international qualification such as the IB Diploma or GCE A-levels — against the entry standards of its HKCAAVQ-accredited programmes. No fixed TWC grade threshold for the BEHS / Matriculation Examination is published. Check with Youth Dorm education specialists to confirm your route; TWC makes the final eligibility decision.
